Christmas outfits + getting ready with me

Oh, the weather outside is frightful (British weather), but the fire is so delightful – the fire that you see when you play Michael Buble Christmas songs on Youtube. Since I have my Christmas outfit on, let’s go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Did you sing along when you were reading this or was I the only one singing?

By now, everybody has brushed up their Christmas songs’ lyrics and are probably thinking of more practical stuff. I for one, am thinking of Christmas food, last minute presents that I need to buy and my Christmas outfit. If the New Year’s Eve outfit is the epitome of glamour, for me, the Christmas outfit is something that needs to be cute, comfortable – I don’t want to unbutton anything when I stuff myself with food. On top of that, we need to unwrap the presents in the same outfit. If my description sounds more and more like a pyjama , that’s because my ideal Christmas outfit is, in fact, a silky pyjama.

Now, wrapping up the presents. A Grinch might think there is no purpose to wrapping the presents up because in a few days/ hours, the wrapping will be thorn to pieces. Yes, Grinch, that is exactly the point of wrapping. Why are luxury items always in a box, in wrapping paper and then some paper and nice stickers on top also, all of this in an equally beautiful carrier bag? Because of the experience. Something was hidden from your eyes, and you are the one revealing it. That, or subconsciously, we love destroying things in which case, feel free to shred my wrapping paper but stay away from my makeup collection.

Another thing that I have on my mind as Christmas Day comes closer, is food and cleaning. With the first one, the situation is easy: I am not good at cooking , but I do make a decent Shiitake mushrooms, Courgetti and chicken dish, but this is not a Christmas one, is it? I am however, a very good assistant, just ask Mom if you don’t believe me. When it comes to cleaning, considering that this is the only time of the year when it actually brings me pleasure, I like rubbing everything as if you were looking at it with the KiraKira app. Anyone else on the same bandwagon?

Because you are for sure busy with the Christmas preparations and reading this blog post was just a breather, I will keep it short and fun and get right into my Christmas outfit pictures.

Cinnamon kisses!
