Pumpkins and dresses at Crockford Bridge Farm

It’s definitely rainy season here and more and more often I feel like getting out of London on my days off. I have recently found a picture with a pumpkin farm on Pinterest that looked so photogenic that my heels started burning, so I asked Google how far it is and you will not believe it! It’s only an hour drive from North London. So if you’re into a little adventure outside of London, I highly suggest you go to Crockford Bridge Farm.

When arriving to the farm, I was surprised at how well organised it was – parking lot on one side, pumpkin patch on another side and then the main part was decorated with pumpkins of all sizes. I am expecting kids to have the most fun here, but even us, we were so inspired by the place and took so many pictures. Apparently, during weekends and public holidays they can get quite busy so keep this in mind if you are planning a visit.

Last weekend and two weekends ago, you could actually go on the pumpkin patch and pick your own. However, last Sunday, which was the last day when you could do so, it was raining so heavily that we decided skipping this. It was probably for the best, imagine how many people we would have had in the pictures. Now we just have a ton of pumpkins.

This is a place that we will definitely go back to. The air is fresh, the staff is kind and much more relaxed than Londoners, and they always have something exciting going on. Depending on the season, they will have strawberries also which even though the season is now gone, the thought of them still makes my mouth water. Now Halloween is coming, I am pretty sure they will do something to celebrate it.

It is safe to say that my Pinterest, where I keep all my inspiration for the shootings we do, is full with autumn vibes. And more than that – with pumpkins. So when I found the Crockford Bridge Farm, it’s like all my wishes (pumpkin wishes) became reality we just needed to go. I was recently gifted a beautiful maxi dress with Romanian ethnic motifs embroidered on it and I knew I needed such a place to shoot it. I’ve even put some effort into my hair…that is always such a struggle because I am just not talented at it. The rubber boots are just the final touch to give some edge to the outfit.

This is a place I will definitely go back to. Full of good vibes, gorgeous yummi pumpkins, plus I am curious what they are going to do next. I am wondering though, if the decoration changes with the season because I am already tempted to plan a Christmas shooting over here. I’ll keep you in touch on Instagram, most likely.

P.S. Did I mention that we made our first ever Pumpkin Pie with the pumpkin that we bought at the Crockford Bridge Farm?

Cinnamon kisses!
